You'll find our favorite picks for invitations, tableware, and the affordable decorations we picked (+ the few we couldn't manage to budget in) 😅 Check out the must try recipes that were a smash hit, such as my mom's lemon blueberry cupcakes and a link to the "best homemade lemonade ever". You'll also find our bridesmaid's awesome choices for the games & prizes!
First up, the invitations! 💌
There are tons and tons of a variety of amazing invitation options for this theme since it is such a popular one. But since my niece asked me, I decided to design hers specific to what she was looking for. A lot of the current beautiful designs contain more of the brighter vintage blue Italian patterns, but she wanted more of a watercolor pastel vibes. So I created a couple different options for her to pick from, and these are the ones the bride chose 🥰 If by chance you are looking for a similar feel for your invitations, check them out in our Zazzle shop now! Invitations are available printed on a variety of paper options and corner cuts as well as for high resolution digital download.
We mailed them with some old school elegance! We added these sweet and simple matching return address labels to the front and sealed the back with this cute and cheap wax seal set on Amazon. The best part? We got to reuse all the extra for the thank you cards after 💛
Next up,
we picked the tableware 🍽
She did want to budget more for decorations and less for paper plates that would just get tossed away, which I completely understand! So we choose this pre bundled set on Amazon that included over 450 pieces. Including 100 plates, 100 napkins, 50 cups, 50 straws, 2 tablecloths and 150 utensils (50 of each). We did go with simple white tablecloths for the guest and food tables. Then used the lemon ones included for the gifts table!
Looking for a more personalized option? Here are some tableware options I created to match her invitations in the collection ➡
Then it was time to gather up all our favorite decoration picks we found and picked which ones we wanted to ultimately go with! First up, I printed and assembled this simply sweet banner to go with the balloon arch that her lovely bridesmaid set up for people to take pictures with the bride to be.
Then the bride's mother purchased adorable lemon branches and fake florals from our local Walmart and Michaels to make simply sweet centerpieces that they also used as table décor on the food tables 💛
Along with the flowers and lemons, you'll see the the tables adorned with sweet lemon candy dishes and photos of the bride and groom. Pre set with each guest's games and advice for the bride to be!
Speaking of games....
We went with Gift Bingo, He Said She Said, Bridal Jeopardy and an adorable "Who has the Groom" scratch off game. And check out the awesome prize sets we found for the winners on Amazon, I am in love!
Because we were hosting a large shower with both extended families, we did end up ultimately going with the free printable game versions you see shown on the table. However I did create these beautiful matching game packs of 40 and they were so close to making the cut 😍
And of course, we had to feed the guests 🍽
To keep things easy, messy free and quick with such a large guest list, we went with a taco bar so guests could build a taco or taco salad that would be sure to fit their dietary needs!
There was also a lemonade bar set up with the best homemade lemonade ever. Along with a 3 pack of Torani syrup flavor pumps. We picked mango, lavender and raspberry! But there are over 20 delicious flavor options to choose from. We also found this awesome little 2 pack of easy to use lemon & lime rim salters for guests to add to their glasses!
for the desserts my mom made her classic chocolate chip cookies, as well as 3 of her most requested cupcake flavors: lemon blueberry, churro and Oreo cheesecake! While my mom is not a professional baker, she is everyone's go to and spends many weekends a year making dozens and dozens of cupcakes for friends & family events. Check out the delicious desserts below and my mom was sweet enough to share her coveted Lemon Blueberry recipe just for you 😉💛

I also embellished all of the guests of honor...
Such as the bride to be, maid of honor, bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom with these adorable buttons I made. This was super helpful with such a large guest list that included both families as well as helped the bridal party feel a little extra special! They are now available here in 5 different size options for you to enjoy as well!
And last, we sent them off in style 🍋🧼
With these adorable little mini lemon soap favors we found on Amazon! They come with the little organza bags, favor cards and lemon shaped soaps. Available in packs of 50 and 20 which ended up being PERFECT for our guest list of 65!
But I wanted to give an honorable mention to these options that didn't make the cut 🥺 Such as these stunning Limoncello favor bottles and these simply the zest matchbox sets!
