Trunk or Treat Theme Ideas & Inspiration
Spooky season is approaching quickly and I am planning to participate in my very first trunk or treat event this year! I am someone who loves a good theme, so the first thing I did was hit the web to start gathering ideas for affordable car kits that seemed easy to assemble, had great reviews and were family friendly yet still fun. First up, the car kit to set the theme! This one seemed like it would work great on a variety of car trunks, was a great price and had reviews about easy set up. Then I love this little customized Trunk or Treat standing pedestal sign that you can personalize with your company name & information then use again year after year. The monster onesie was perfect since it's cozy and unisex. For favors, if you do "please take one" buckets - I love the idea of having these sticker sheets for the littles to choose from 😍

This car kit includes 75pcs for under $20 and has awesome reviews so it's definitely a top contender for one of my top picks! Then I think I would hang this large personalized outdoor vinyl banner above his head like I did in the sample, but I also think it would look really cute on the bumper in-between his hands 😅 The banner and the matching business cards can be personalized with a company name and QR code! Last but never least, the blow up skeleton drink cooler would definitely be a must have. My husband just loves to give out a variety of drinks as well as treats on Halloween and he would just LOVE to use this after our trunk or treat event for our trick or treaters!

This theme is my husband's favorite 🐉 I think the red dragon would definitely stand out! The onesies are a comfortable and warm way to stay on theme (here in Minnesota it can get a little chilly). Instead of candy, I think I would go with these cool 3D printed dragon eggs that kids could enjoy for more than one night. But if they don't quite fit into the budget, I LOVE the set of 72 temporary tattoos that I can add to a little candy bag!

The ghost car kit is probably the most affordable of all the options I've found. With a straightforward and simple design for easy set up. I am just in love with this adorably corny "Pretend I'm a Ghost" shirt as well 😅 The candy dish lights up and can adjust in height which is awesome if you want to reuse it Halloween night. Personalize the sign & mini business cards with your business information & QR code!

This inflatable witch decoration can plug into a cigarette lighter if you have an event in the evening or looks great in the day unlit. It's an easy one to reuse, and easy one to set up! Then I am obsessed with this inflatable cooler to match 💚 The cauldrons are available in 2 size options and are perfect to hold your candy in. Unless you wanted to go with something like the prefilled cauldron favors, which are an awesome idea if you're not a fan of candy. They come premade with goodies already inside that the kids are sure to love!

This car kit might be my personal favorite so far. It's colorful, affordable and has wonderful reviews! I'd pair it with this cute little cardboard treasure chest to hold my Pirate's Booty Aged popcorn bags and this awesome inflatable ship for drinks. To start, this adorable inflatable light up circus entrance and matching table skirt will be sure to set the scene! Then I found this "Tattoos Here" sign that comes with 288 temporary tattoos for the kiddos. I think it would be super fun to have one of us offer temporary tattoos off to the side in addition to their treats, but you could also just have them cut out and ready for the trick or treaters to take one for home! Then for favors I think I would offer these foam clown noses in a bowl for anyone who wants to take one, as well as either the cotton candy favors or cracker jack bags 😍 I looked everywhere for the old-fashioned cracker jack boxes but no luck, they switched to bags (with the same great taste!)

I think this is one of the cutest themes 💜 I just love the green, purple and blue together! Maye not one you want to use if your event is at a church though 😅 To start, I picked this top rated car kit that seems easy to set up and fills a lot of space along with a fun matching onesie to keep me warm. Then I found this cute little "What's Your Alien Name" sign that comes with name tags and I thought that would be such a cute and simple addition that the kids would LOVE! For favors, I would personally go with these galaxy slime balls but there are so many great options for this spectacular theme!
